Stelvio Pass is located in the Italian Alps close to the Swiss border. It is sometimes called the "Three Languages Peak" - so named because this is where the Italian, German and Romansh languages meet. The pass is the highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps, rising 1,808 meters, along 24.3 kilometers, and through 48 hairpin turns.
